Ease of doing Business in India
From a welcoming regime for foreign investment, to an independent central bank, to a robust legal system for enforcing contractual terms, to a taxation system favouring corporates, to vibrant capital markets, there is a lot to like about the framework. Even more important are the positive demographic trends, growth rates and rising rates of consumption.
Complete tax exemption for pension funds and sovereign wealth funds investing in infrastructure
For pension funds and sovereign wealth funds, till march 2030, there is a complete exemption from tax for income in the nature of dividend, interest, long-term capital gains arising out of investments in enterprises which are involved in infrastructure space, funds invested in infrastructure, infrastructure finance companies, infrastructure debt-funds, and listed InvITs.
Focus on Technology, Renewables and Maritime
We will give an overview of the incentives the government (both federal and state) is offering in each sector, as well as the outlook and the relevant legal regime. All of these are high growth sectors in need of capital and technology.
